It Was Named After Right Reverend Monsignor Thomas W. Morton, Its Founder And Developer. This Chapel Was One Of The First Buildings Erected And Was The Focal Point Of Camp Activity. The Original Building Was Of A Simple Design With A Cathedral Ceiling. Later The Sides Were Extended And The Interior Finished With Fir Boards. Machinery Pumped Water From Lake Winnipeg To The Large Tower Tank, Which Supplied Water For Drinking And For The Gardens Of Camp Morton. The Frame Of The Water Tower Was Probably Built In The Late 1920s. They Were Constructed In 1943 As Cottages For Visitors And Staff And Were Known Locally As The Arcade. The Second Floors Of The Two Buildings Were Added Only For Decoration. Local Logs Cut And Trimmed To 60 Centimetre Lengths Were Embedded In Mortar.
